Warner Bros. Releases Comic-Con Teaser for Suicide Squad

Standard

Earlier today, the first-look for Suicide Squad that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con was officially uploaded YouTube in all of it’s HD glory. This, of course, comes after a second-hand video shot from a phone was released over the weekend, as well as an action packed trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This is the first time we’ve gotten a good look at all of he main characters in the flick, and it looks like a cartoonishly manical romp. Still processing my feelings on Harley Quinn’s voice and the Joker’s new look, but I think I’m going to reserve judgement until we see more in-depth footage.

As long as people don’t go into it thinking it’s going to be like anything other than itself. As in, don’t expect it to be an Avengers, a GotG, or even BvS. Suicide Squad is unlike anything that’s ever been on the big screen. The closest comparison I can think of is Watchmen, but even that had heroes as their heroes, not villains.

Agreed. I also think it provides a really sneaky back door for them to introduce a bunch of villains quickly, which is important considering how popular the bad guys have been in the super hero flicks of the past.
