Warner Bros. Releases Comic-Con Teaser for Suicide Squad

Standard

Earlier today, the first-look for Suicide Squad that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con was officially uploaded YouTube in all of it’s HD glory. This, of course, comes after a second-hand video shot from a phone was released over the weekend, as well as an action packed trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This is the first time we’ve gotten a good look at all of he main characters in the flick, and it looks like a cartoonishly manical romp. Still processing my feelings on Harley Quinn’s voice and the Joker’s new look, but I think I’m going to reserve judgement until we see more in-depth footage.

First Trailer for Fear the Walking Dead Released

Standard

We FINALLY have gotten a first look at the new AMC companion show for The Walking Dead, and it looks like it’s going to have a much different vibe to it than the original offering.

Fear the Walking Dead looks to be set primarily in urban environments, which is a given considering it is set in Los Angeles, and it looks like we’re going to see the turn from the very beginning, which is something fans have been clamoring for for quite some time.

I’m going into this with an open mind and low expectations considering the show has a lot to live up to. It certainly looks very different, and has a feeling more in line with more mainstream popcorn horror like 2004’s Dawn of the Dead or World War Z.

Let me know what you think! Will this be better or worse? Will not having a comic to accompany it add to the story or take away? Leave your comments below!

Walking Dead Season 6 Trailer Teases Zombie Hoards and More of the Ricktatorship

Standard

This leaked trailer from the San Diego Comic-Com teases a lot of juicy stuff for the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

First and foremost, it seems we will see little to no time jump based off of Rick’s injuries, and it also appears Deanna has a great deal of trust in Morgan.

Most exciting of all might be the massive quantities of walkers that seem to be closing in on Alexandria… Or maybe it’s the icy standoff between Daryl and Rick… Or the speech Rick is giving while holding someone at gunpoint. Who is it?!

On a lesser note, it seems the theme of “crossroads” may play heavily into this season, similarly to the religious symbolism last season.

Also, WHO IN THE HELL HAS KIDNAPPED DARYL?!

[POTENTIAL SPOILERS] Is it possible it’s the Saviors, and, as speculated by many, Daryl becomes Dwight from the comics? While I think it’s a little soon for that, I definitely think we’ll meet other communities like Hilltop and The Kingdom from the comic.

UPDATE (7/10): AMC has posted the trailer directly to their YouTube channel. No more shaky cam!
